It was an interesting weekend for me. I had quite a few eggs to put into the incubator and started hatching some geckos from the second clutches of most of my females that are laying. In the process, I proved out the genetics (het traits) on a few males that I needed to prove out in order to determine the rest of my pairings for the season. This information allows me to make concrete plans for the younger females that I was holding off on. I am really excited with all the cool geckos I have been hatching over the past month. This weekend I produced my first Nova of the season as well as a nice Mack Raptor, Mack Tremper, and a few others. I also managed to catch an escaped hatchling that slipped out of its tub during cleaning last week, which made me very happy as well since it was healthy and in one piece (which is alot to ask for with 2 cats on the prowl). The only negative was that in producing the Nova, it proved that my Eclipse Male that I hatched in 2008 and was 66% het Tremper is definitely now 100% Het Tremper. He hadn't produced an Albino yet this year and I was hoping he was not Het Tremper so that I could use him in Radar and Typhoon projects in the future. Now I will have to wait on those projects. Oh well, at least my SSTA male proved to be Het Raptor after all. Now, I will have SUPER RAPTORS galore when I pair him to the Mack Raptor females and Super Raptor female I hatched last year. :main_thumbsup:
