Got a new pair of geckos! New tanks, setup, the works. When will they eat? I dropped 3 crickets in each cage so not to overwhelm them and they don't even seem to care. When will hunger hit them and not jet lag????

it took my little guy about a week before he would eat. Most folks on gf say that the older the reptile the longer it takes them to settle in. My gecko was about 6months old when I got him.

I don't even offer food the first day unless the gecko seems SUPER calm. Usually it takes a couple of days, I've only ever had one eat the first day. If it's been 5-7 days and nothing, that's when you can worry.

Congrats on the new babes though!

i adopted a super big and healthy 1+ year old male and i have had him 2 weeks now, he lets me handle him, but he has eaten once (1 super worm), and pooped once. He is about to shed so that could be a cause as well. Just keep offering food, water and good temps and when they are ready they will eat

I would at least offer once every day....but don't expect them to eat right away...they may, they may not...once they're comfortable they'll eat...

My Leo took 5/6 days before she ate anything! Now she's a right greedy little monkey...5-8 crix a day!

My new one didn't eat for a few days as well. Their not eating because of the stress of moving them into a new environment and home. Let them settle in and get comfortable. Make sure to have the correct temps in the tank as well. Leos may not eat because of incorrect temps as well but yours just sounds like stress from moving them from place to place.
