Hey guys, I have spent some time looking around here for a while but this is my first post. I have had a leo for about 5 months now and felt it was time to give him a cage mate. Of course I am keeping them separate until the hatchling gets bigger.
The problem is that I bought a hatchling from Petco and it has one eye that will not open all the way and it looks crusted over. I can't believe I didn't notice this in the store. My petco seems a lot better than others I have heard about on here; they seem to take care of the pets well and have employees that really care for them. He licks that eye very often but it doesn't seem to bother him much. Is this an infection or just something that happens to hatchlings? I have seen the same thing in new born kittens so I don't know if he needs eye drops, a vet check, or for me to return him to the store (which I really don't want to do). I tried to get pics but they would not turn out well. Thanks a bunch,

Unfortunately though, he some how got out of his cage 2 nights ago and I still have not been able to find him. I thought he would not be able too but I guess I underestimated their ability as climbers.
