Hi guys,

I'm a little new here and I'm a little new to geckos too. I'm really interested in them and I have a question. So I'm thinking about getting myself a leopard gecko this weekend. Last night before I got home from work, I went and bought myself a 10 gallon tank. I'm only planning on getting myself 1 gecko for now. Anyhow, I didn't realize the tank was plastic until I got home. I heard that geckos can climb plastic sometimes. I wanted to make sure if that was true or not. Also, I have another plastic container like this laying inside my closet. I was wondering if I wash it very well, if I could use it as a house for my gecko? What I did for my insects was add tape to the bottom corners of the container so that way they wouldn't climb. I don't know if that is good or not for your gecko. I'm planning on doing the same thing as in the picture. I'll cut a rectangular hole on the top and push mesh over it so the container could get some air. I was wondering if this is okay so I could go and return my plastic tank or could I use the plastic tank as a home? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you so much :)
