Hi guys,
I'm a little new here on the forums and to geckos. I have a question though. I'm planning on getting myself a leopard gecko this weekend. Last night I bought a 10 gallon tank. The thing is, I didn't realize it was a plastic 10 gallon tank until I got home. It was a long day at work.. Anyhow, I heard that geckos can climb plastic sometimes. I just wanted to see if that was true or not? I have an extra plastic container like the ones in my picture laying around in my closet. I was wondering if I were to clean it very well, can I use this as a housing for my gecko? What I did was tape the bottom corners of container so my insects wouldn't climb. Can I also do that? And as for them to get air, I will do what I did with this container and open up a nice rectangular hole and put mesh over it so my gecko would get some air. So, is this a good idea or should I get myself a glass tank? Please help and thank you so much!
