Hey I'm Chris and I'm new to the forums. I already have a bearded dragon (Rocko) and I am getting my first leo here in the next week or two and from reading the different threads have learned a lot the basic of keeping a leopard gecko.

Here is a pic of Rocko posing for the camera.

Beardies are so cool. I was at a herp expo in New Mexico where one vendor had a Beardie perched on a piece of driftwood. The Beardie didn't move much. I saw many a startled visitor to that booth when it did. They are marvelous lizards. The only other lizard I have cultivated was the beatiful Jewelled Lacerta. Not personable like a Beardie; just pretty to look at from afar.

Get your gecko home set up before that new gek arrives. Then let it settle in for a few days (I know, I know. You want to handle it as soon as you get it) before you handle it. It might not eat for a day or two, so don't despair. Geckos are territorial (especially males) and they "taste" their environment to see what other geks have been around (even if NONE have been around). Enjoy that beautiful creature. Good luck.

Alright so after a couple weeks of getting supplies together and setting up the tank and make sure all the temps would be right I got my leopard gecko. I've been told he/she is Murphy's Patternless and has some orange on the base of the tail so I'm thinking possible carrot tail. He/she wouldn't eat but is shedding so that probably explains it. Here are some pre-shed pics.
