After seeing to much fluctuations in the temp I ordered a non-selfmade incubator.
This is what came to me today:
It´s well the german version of the Hovabator with digital thermostat and you can drill the temperature-sensor down on the level where the eggs are in.
This was after ripping the package off:

THis is it open and than closed:

I hope it will work but throught the first 2 hours of testing it looks realy good and I finaly have a static incubator :)

Yeah but those things are priced at 205$ and we don´t realy have another professional alternative... so the hovas are cool and if I had more time I would have ordered them to germany^^

Look pretty nice Thorsten.

What is on the bottom and is the heat cable connected to the thermostat?

Hey Paul,
that blue things on the bottom are water gutters 6 in total to hold the temp better I guess.
And Yeah the Heatkabel is connected to the thermostat and it´s a digital one with micro ships going similiar to Helix I guess. It´s holding the temp at +- 0.1 celsius so it´s working realy good^^ but well expensive *G*

Wish we had ones like those here.:p Looks nice!

and you can drill the temperature-sensor down on the level where the eggs are in.
Is the probe attached to the end of the small "lever" (I don`t know what else to call it), on top?

If it is movable, and if you did not allready think of it. Make sure you test it with the probe in different positions.

The white thing on top is a screw. inside at the end of that screw is the probe. You can drill it down on the high where the eggs are. If you meant that with movable than yes I drilled it down to the eggs level^^.

Yeah it works well no temp differences more :D
