New Leo Mommy

Hi everybody!

I'm Heather and I'm from Talladega, Alabama. I'm a 21 year old college student, attending Auburn University studying to become a veterinarian. I've been lurking for about 2 weeks now and soaking up as much knowledge about leos as possible and this place is so great, I had to join! I got my first leo today, a 3 year old male. I've been wanting one for many years and finally reached a compromise with my fiance since he wouldn't let me have a puppy lol. I've just about every kind of mammal pet throughout my life (even a pig and a raccoon hehe). The only reptile I've ever had was a ball python a few years ago but he was murdered by mom's vindictive ex :furious2: Right now I'm owned by a 1 1/2 year old siamese cat named Gooey, a 30 (atleast) year old yellow nape amazon parrot named Bird, a 4 year old 12" pleco named Avogadro, 2 tetras, a crowntail betta, and most recently my cute little leo (yet to be named). I hope to get to know some of you guys and maybe help some people too.

Welcome and reptiles are my favorite now and about the raccoon well I have a squirrel and they are great pets,how are raccoons?Oh and great pets.

The raccoons name was Boodrow, he was a trip. We found him as a little baby on the side of the road, his mother had been hit by a car. He loved to dig through your pockets and rifle through all the cabinets to find snacks. We had a little kiddy pool in the front yard with a log in it, we'd put fish in that we caught from the lake and he would stand on the log and catch and eat them. When he got to be an adult I guess nature called and he went back into the wild, he still comes around every now and then though to say hello. I found an old picture of him with my boyfriends mom.

Welcome to the forums. Your pets are all so cute! 30 years and going strong on that Amazon. It's amazing how long they live.
