new leo owner :)

Hey guys
My name is Jillia and I am a proud new owner of a baby leopard gecko. I love the little guy, and I am so excited to finally have a leo of my own. The main reason I joined this forum is because I have ALOT of questions and I am seeking your help please! First question: I was trying to clean the tank and he spit at me, like actually spit something at me. It scared the hell out of me and Im not sure what just happened. Is this common?

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new leo your going to have lots of fun with him, and as for the question im not to sure its never happend to me but its best to let him settle in to his new home before handling him

Thanks! It just really freaked me out, because I have numerous friends with them and they said that they have never had one spit/hiss.
