Very nice gecko. She (he?) looks like she has a yellow band on her head.

These pics were taken the day that she shed, and yes she does have a band of yellow on her head, but all of her yellow fades between sheddings. I will post more pics as she grows, she is only 2 1/2 months old, so she is changing rapidly at this point. Thanks for the nice comments.

How do you know she is 2 1/2 months old?

I have one that is 2 months old (hatched her myself) and she eats like a pig. But her tail size and size over all is about half of what yours is. I honestly feel that your geckos is older then what you think it is. I take it that you bought it from a pet shop and they don't always have accurate info. I'm not trying to pick a fight, I'm just trying to find out if she really is 2 1/2 months old.

What do you feed that gecko? The tail is huge for 2 1/2 months. Mine is about 4 months and just now getting that big. Am I doing something wrong?

I have one that looks about the same size and is not even 3 months old. some geckos grow faster then others. It all depends on how much they eat. and this girl I'm talking about is a little piggy! lol

Born 7/3/06.

I purchased her from VMS Herp, and according to them she was born on 7/3/06. She is a very healthy eater, crickets, mealies, vitamin/calcium powder every other feeding. She is my first, so I am not aware of her unusually large size.

That would make her a little over 3 months old and she looks perfect for that age! Very nice and fat and her size is not unusual at all, she looks great!

Have to agree - the patterning progression looks like a gecko older than 2 1/2 months.
