Hello,
So I recently purchased a new blazing blizzard leopard gecko a little over a week ago. I am fairly certain it is a male because I am seeing the beginning of preanal pores. He is about 18 grams and is currently being kept in a 5 gallon till he gets a bit larger. He has a hot spot at about 88 degrees being measured with a temp gun and eats a diet of mealworms very well. He has access to clean water, a humid hide, and a normal hide. I bought him from a very reputable reptile store.
When I first bought him he had very normal stools (he did have small amounts of substrate from the reptile store) and there was no smell. The first couple days he acted normal and had normal stools but after that they started to get watery and poorly formed. Now they are globby and instead of being black are brownish red. There are very little urates now as well. Could these be symptoms of internal parasites? Other than the changes in the feces he has acted fairly normal though he does spend a lot more time in his hide than he did a few days ago. Thank you very much in advance for your help.
