New Leopard Gecko

So yesterday I went down and bought my first Leo, today I noticed she has small white dots all over her. My power went out last night and it got pretty cold in her tank, could this be why? Right now her tank is at around 85-90 degrees, hum at 20%.... not sure if this is normal or if she is about to shed...as you can see small little dots all over her body... the white small dots..

Some of my geckos used get this right before they shed, but not always. Make sure that you are supplementing its food properly with calcium (with D3) and a vitamin supplement that contaiins vitamin A (this aids in skin health and shedding). You can also get an all in one supplement, but I forget the names of any good brands right now. Hopefully someone else can reccomend some! Also, feed the bugs high quality vegetables and grains, which will aid in the overall health of your little guy If you don't have a moist hide, be sure to add one so that shedding and such goes smoothly.

Thank you so much!!, I think she was just cold because she wasn't very active... but now I also put a heating pad on the side of the tank as well as the regular top heat lamp, and she out and about with her new pal I just bought today!! I will keep an eye on her, and thanks for all the tips .. I appreciate it!!!

i agree with dinosaur.
geckos can almost get "dandruff" lol. as said this could be due to bad shedding ie not enough moisture to aid removal.
as said vit A is essential for healthy skin. i use vetark professional Nutrobal, which seems to be good. i use this in conjunction with a calcium only powder.
