About three days ago I visited my local Pet** to pick up supplies and stumbled upon their cage full of SALE geckos and I found about 6 geckos huddled together in a rock. Instantly upon seeing the condition of these guys I called over a sales associate and complained about their health. He claimed that they had just gotten the geckos in from their breeders and that they must have had competition for food. Either way I was very upset and took two of the three emaciated geckos. I know this is only promoting their mistreatment more but i was certain that they would have died if left there. I've had them home for several days in a 10gal. They have plenty of hides, a moist hide, large rock full of water filled daily, and a heat lamp over the UTH. They are pretty active and I have provided them with live mealies and waxies for them to eat as they please. I have yet to see them eat, same with my other female that I got for my birthday about a week ago. The two juvies drank and my larger female shed about a day ago. They seem bright and alert but I am worried about the condition of the two thin guys. What can I do to bring them back to healthy condition? Also could you identify their morphs for me?
Pictures
This is Jasmine my birthday present!
these pictures were obviously before her shed.
Now these are the two that I had saved
They're in horrible condition especially the first one. Any ideas on how to fatten them up or even what morph each one is? It would be very much appreciated.
Sorry about the size of the photos =]
