I bought a lovely anery sand boa from KnEKritters (thanks, Katie! :D) Here's some pictures... can anyone help me sex it? I've read several articles on visually sexing sand boas and I just end up getting confused :main_huh:. The snake is currently 13 inches long and 44 grams.

Thanks!

LOL...It's not going to be like sexing a leopard gecko. Sometimes you can tell based on the distance between the vent and tip of tail. Meaning that for a male, that measurement would be greater than for a female. But I wouldn't guess based on a picture because, without a size reference, its impossible. And the only truely accurate methods of sexing snakes are "popping" and "probing". Maybe someone else is feeling more daring. :main_laugh: Sorry I couldn't provide more help.

Well, I know it isn't like sexing geckos! lol :D I had been doing a lot of reading and most sources recommended visual sexing versus probing because it was supposedly very easy to tell with KSBs, haha...:main_rolleyes:
I'll have to find someone to pop it for me. Thanks, guys
