New Scale, Chubby Geckos!

Well i finally bought a decent gram scale, instead of borrowing one from my moms boyfriend every week, and i wanted to thake some pictures of my chubby geckos on it!

first we have little Maverick:

Next we have chubby Dinosaur (he saw my mealworm tub open a few feet away! his mind is always on food! )

Then we have Pork chop! i think she is a pretty decent weight for laying eggs a week and a half ago, and being on a food strike...

And finally we have Socky (Sakura)! She doesnt like me sharing her weight on the internet, hence the glare

the only baby that is missing is Damsel, but that is because she is in "labor" right now and is digging. I'd say that we will have eggs any day now! Ill update this thread with her soon, and the two new geckos i am hopefully recieving on thursday! woot woot!

Are the females giants? My females only weigh 53 grams and are rather fat looking themselves. BTW I have the same exact scale.

nah they are just big Socky is as long as my fore arm, and porkchop is just plain fat she is usually 78-80 grams, but pregnancy and food strike is making her drop weight... And thats funny that we have the same scale!

They are all beautiful! I don't think your females are all that big. I don't remember the weights of all my females from back when I was breeding/keeping leo's many years ago. But I do remember my two favorites. One was close to 60 grams and the other was 80 grams (she was a big girl). I don't have any females nowadays, just two males. The adult is 126 grams and the 5 month old juvenile is 59 grams.

dom- that is a huge gecko!! I have never even seen a gecko that big, or a full grown giant in person!

lisa127- thank you very much! porkchoop is usually hovering around 78, and never any higher, and Socky just can't beak 70 And you have got some big boys! im jealous!

Logan- i threw away the box, so im not positive exactly, but i found it in the kitchen supplies section at wal-**rt for eighteen dollars. thay had better guality ones also, but this one works great for me!

Oh and Damsel laid her two eggs this morning! she wasnt supposed to lay eggs this small, but she decided to start dropping duds, so i bred her to Dinosaur to see if he was sterile or not, and to possibly make some pretty (pet-only) tangs. plus i heard that fertile eggs are easier to pass.... i'll wiegh her when she calms down more, but she is a bit stresseed at the moment

we also have giant w&y's and super giant trempers these are 140 gr and up :main_thumbsup:
