Hi guys.

Decided to buy a few new items for the vivarium today. Went for a reptile hammock and ladder, along with a big centre log with fake leaves and a root-like structure for my Leo to explore.

I was just wondering what you guys thought of the new setup. I was a bit worried about his claws getting caught in the hammock, but so far there seem to be no problems and he loves it.

However, I'm not overly impressed with the suction cups. They didn't stick and I ended up using tape to ensure it would stay. It does the job but doesn't look too nice.

Thoughts?

I have seen both the hammock and the ladder and Petsmart or Petco. Does he actually climb up and down using the ladder?

Looks like an amazing set up! Love it :D

For those of you who use hammocks, do you put them under a heat lamp?

Leos do not need heat lamps, so that wouldn't be a valid question if you're referring to them :p BUT i do have a reptile hammock in my dragons tank directly under the heat lamp, and have had no problems with it whatsoever :)

I use a 100w to warm up the middle of my 36" x 18" x 18" tank because the giant heat pad on the warm side wasn't able to heat up the rest of the tank. My house has central AC and is pretty cold at 70F all year round. Anyway, just wondering if the hammock should be a little warm so they could enjoy it more :)
