The tile looks great...as long as there are no cracks for the little toes to get stuck in, it should be ok. As for your viv...do you only have a warm and moist hide? You really should have a hide for warm, moist and cool side so he can chose where to go as he pleases.

Where should I exactly put each hide in your opinion

Well first things first...do you have an over head heater or UTH? One should be on the warm side by whatever heat source you are providing. Make sure warm temps are between 88-92 degrees; this temp will help with digestion. They need belly heat more than over head heat so I would definitely recommend getting a UTH and a laser temp guage to properly check the floor surface temp. One on the complete opposite side for the cool side, should be around 70-75 degrees. And the moist hide, you can either put in the middle or more towards the warm side to help stay moist. Just to give your little one different places to go if he needs to be cooler or warmer. Here is a pic of my viv. Left back corner is cool side, green upside tub in moist hide and the two on the right are his warm hides with a UTH underneath both. The hide in the back right corner and back left corner both have repti-carpet inside. Moist hide has spagnum moss that stays pretty wet during the week.
