Definitely not Stenodactylus sthenodactylus...look to be some species of Tropiocolotes

Definitely not Stenos. I'd have to agree with Harold, they do look like some sort of Tropiocolotes...Steudneri maybe? Stenos are a bit shorter and stockier. Here's a quick pic of S. Sthenodactylus for reference:

Info can be tricky with these guys as they're often mislabeled, but I believe the care was pretty similar...less all the digging.

Thanks, I will try to get some clearer pictures that makes me mad when they tell you it’s something and they are way off. They told they are elegant geckos and that is there scientific name.....this grinds my gears. Also that one dies in less than 24 hours.

This picture isn't much better but it is a little better

I know you are disappointed because of the inaccurate ID (one reason I hate common names), but at least they are comparatively priced- you might have even gotten a deal by the mixup:).

Unfortunate about the dead one, but this sometimes happens with imports.

Here is a thread from another forum I am a member on to help ID:

Enclosure pics here and here

Best of luck!
