Picked up this female from Ron Tremper, 7 Months old and close to 70g. These pictures where taken the night i got her. She was got at hamm and then brought back to Ireland for me. Just some quick photos for the moment and they are not the best quality sorry.
Its been over a week since she arrived but she still seems quite flighty (id imagine not handled a whole lot) but seems reluctant to eat, iv offered crickets, mealworms and wax worms even just to entice eating. I have seen her eat two crickets so at least that is something. Im sure its just a settling in period but obviously from the size of her (her tail alone) she wasnt one to shy away from her food before. Hopefully its just a phaze. I have seen two poops but in seperate parts of the enclosure.
Ill try get some new updated pics soon. Thanks for looking
PS- Oh just a temporary viv for the moment, temps are fine, adequate hides and moist hide supplied aswell as water and vitaman dish. Thats Oat Bran i decided to try it out as a substrate, i personally have never had a problem with sand with my Leopard Geckos but always reluctant with new animals to use it right away because there is always the risk. Oat Bran seemed like a decent subsitute and would be ok if ingested but when it gets wet it stinks and clumps up very hard. Wont be using it again but for desert species it seems like a nice safe alternative.
