ok so i had a male and a female leopard gecko for some time( about a year).
I decided to put the female in with the male last night. They mated agressevley(sp) throughout the the whole night, but i have some questions.

1) Did i make a mistake putting the female in the male's cage? Should i have done it the other way around?

2) Can they live together for ever or until i plan on retiring(SP) them?

3) Aproximately how long will it be until i see eggs?

4) Is this stressing for the geckos?

thanks.

1) in my opion it does not matter, but other will proably say different

2)i would say it does if they keep mating agressivly, if they do then no

3)it is a matter of weeks

4)and yes the whole proses is stressing on them, mostly the female

i hope i helped you ;) :)

I always put the male with the female. I do this because moving them to a new enclosure can be stressful and you want to keep the females happy. Plus for the male I think being in a tub full of the female's scent will jump start his hormones.
