new to cresties

hi need some help how do i go about feeding my 6 week old crestie small sized crickets. do i just put a few in there and let him hunt them or should i try feeding them with tweezers. also how do i feed that cdg. cause i mix the powder with water and it looks all nasty so im not sure if i making it right. please help! any other tips would be great.

Depending on its size just drop a few crickets in, mine usually eat 2-3 every other day and they are 5 months old. You dont need feed with tweezers, they like to hunt. And yes that CGD does look nasty, its just a mush and they will lick it so you dont have to put a lot in, they never eat all of what i put it.

Hi Jared. Congrats on your crestie. I've had one for a while now. He LOVES to hunt crickets...to the point of knocking live plants down. It's great fun to watch. A few people here told me to put a small amount of the cgd in a cup & you can keep it moist for a few days before making a new batch. This has worked out really well for me. They also like "fresh" fruit. So if getting him to eat the cgd is not working take a very small piece of banana & mash it into the mix. He'll devour that & it'll make you feel better knowing he's eating something.

i dropped a few lil crickets in the tank and she jumped down and ate one right in front of me i was so happy to see that. shes still a lil scard of me but she get use to me the older she gets thanks for the advice every1
