Hi I just got my first leopard gecko about 2 weeks ago! She's been eating fine since I got her she's a little over 2 months... I've been feeding her crickets occasionally and mealworms daily... Today when I was purchasing her crickets I noticed a small container of food made by zoo meds called leopard gecko food... I'm not sure if its any good for them can anyone please give me info...

also I've been seeing alot of post about gut loading the mealworms any recommendations on what to use when doing this... And is it good to leave a little dish with repto cal for her too... Thanks in advance for all the help... It is greatly appreciated...

If it's the little pellets you're talking about, they are a complete waste of time. Most geckos will just look at them then look at you with a little lizard question mark over their heads.

For gut loading the worms, mine do just fine with eating the rolled oats they're kept in with a couple of slices of potato thrown in every couple of days to give them a source of moisture. I occasionally sprinkle some fish food flakes on top once a week for some extra nutrients and they gobble it up pretty quickly.

If you do decide to leave a dish with calcium in the tank, make sure it's calcium without d3. Just make sure you dust your feeders properly before feeding and she will do fine.

I feed my mealworms pieces of carrot for moisture. They are also on a base of mostly rolled oats with a small amount of cricket gutload food thrown in. I dust them with the leopard gecko calcium plus by Repashy.
