Hi all!

I just got a juvenile gecko yesterday from a coworker who could no longer care for her. She is pretty skinny, but ate several meal worms yesterday evening. I am greatly looking forward to helping her get to a healthy weight, and to watching her grow. :)

Any tips or advice or questions are welcome!

I am looking forward to meeting you guys, and learning as much as I can about these great creatures!

Also, I tried to attach some pictures. (I hope they come out ok!) There are a few things that have changed since the picture of her enclosure was taken: I got an actual UTH for the hot side, since that heating pad wasn't getting warm enough, I also got a probe thermometer to measure the temp on the hot side, as well as purchasing a small log for a hide on the cool side, and some general rearranging. I will have to take another picture to show. :)

Thanks for looking guys!

-Elizabeth

That poor baby! So skinny!! I'm glad she is in good hands now and hopefully she will recover with no problems. Keep an eye out for symptoms of parasites.
Her tank looks nice. Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much! :D I actually now think the little one is a boy, and have deemed him Lil' Lebowski. Ha! I took him to the vet, and he is somewhat concerned, and as such I took a fecal sample in, so hopefully I will get some good news from that. He is also about to shed, I think, as he is rubbing his face against his cave, the water dish, paper towels, and is spending more time in his humid hide. Haha. Anyhow, I will post more as I get some new pictures and such. :)

I don't have a thermostat, but I am closely monitoring with a probe thermometer. :/ I plan on picking a thermostat up asap.

I would highly suggest you unplug it until it is regulated.they can get well over 110degrees and can burn reptiles...a cheap alternative until you can get a thermostat is a table top lamp dimmer.you can find those at Wal-Mart.
