Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and to Geckos, I have been raising other reptiles mainly snakes but a few lizards as well for quite a while and about a month ago I came across an ad for a male Gecko and fell in love with his pic. When I picked him up I could tell he wasn't handled often if at all and his aquarium needed a good cleaning. It took me putting my hand in with him several times a day and gently coaxing him and touching him for about 2 weeks before I could take him out and sit on the couch holding him without him trying to bite or run away. We make sure to interact with him daily so he stays used to being handled, well we interact with all our reptiles daily I love coming home from work and spending time with my sons and reptiles. It is a great hobby that we all love and enjoy doing, it definately never gets boring...lol
I got a female for him about a week ago they are both hypo tangerine leopard gecko's and are absolutely stunning!!!!
He has been trying to mate with her since she first joined him but she kept refusing him until last night I had them in a critter carrier while I cleaned out the tank and was able to witness them mating....very excited....and looking forward to baby gecko's!!!!!
I am also looking forward to meeting lots of new friends on here.
