Hi all,

We have been bitten by the gecko bug and have jumped in with both feet! We have bought 6 geckos in total since spring and before we start going too much farther, I thought it would be a good idea to get some expert advice in regards to what we were sold and double check the morphs.

I'll post a few pics, showing one gecko at a time and hopefully I can get confirmations!

Gecko #1 Bell Albino Female
Her browns are very light, compared to another Bell that we have. Could she be a Snow Bell Albino? Is there a physical way to tell?

(She just laid eggs which are in incubation)

Cheers,
Mike

She is a pretty bell :) it is hard to tell if they have snow when they are older. If you had a hatchling or juvi pic that would be able to tell you if she has snow.

Thank you for your fast response! I guess we will have to see if there is any snow traits in her babies! ;)

Is it common for different Bells to have different shades of brown? The browns in our male are much darker than hers. I'll work on posting some pics of our male.

(sorry for the newbie Q's!!!)

I agree that Bells are pretty variable, and the darkish purple bands are typical of the strain. Your second one could have possibly been incubated at a low temperature, which results in darker "brownish" colored albinos. It certainly looks unique, at first glance I thought it was a normal, until I saw that signature pretty pink Bell albino eye.

I personally do not think that the first Bell has Mack Snow genes, but breedings will confirm.

Gecko #3-Here is a pic of our Sunglow. I wish we knew what kind of albino was in her!

Gecko #4- TUG Phantom. We call her Chicken Little, due to her uncooked chicken skin appearance!

We need to get a male that will go nicely with our Sunglow and Phantom for next season. We are thinking something along the tremper albino. Any other ideas?

very nice geckos! I think your sunglow is Tremper but I would need a clearer eye picture. Maybe someone with better eyes can tell lol as far as a male for both it depends on what you want to create.

Thank you! Our Sunglow was very skinny when we got her. She is our biggest now at 73g!!! We will have to cut back her feedings a little :)

Here is a closer shot of her eye. I hope it is close enough. I took the pic with my iPhone so if it doesn't work I'll get my camera out!

I managed to get a better pic last night. Based on her eyes is it possible to get a idea of what type of albino our sunglow is? I'm guessing tremper?
