6.How many crickets or meal worms should i offer per day?should i feed once or twice?

Could you briefly explain what's in his tank now, and what size it is? Also is the temperature you gave for the warm side or the cool side? If you want to post pictures, there should be an attachment button underneath the box where you type your messages, it'll bring up a popup where you can browse for pictures in your computer.

1.Calcium supplements? There are many different types of Calcium supplements out there, alot of people use RepCal or Repti-Cal

2.What is a good kind? Refer to question 1

3.How often do i have to calcium dust his food? depending upon age of gecko, hatchlings to juvies i dust every feeding which is everyday. after i say about 40ish Grams cutting back to every other day feedings is ok.

4.Is calcium the only supplement i need? No you will need to get a vitamin supplement. I use Herptive, there are others that are out there. It's personal opinion

5.Should i buy Cricket food? Yes you will need to what is refered to as gutload your feeders. There is commerical gutload that you can get from your local pet store or i use the gutload from progeckos.com

6.How many crickets or meal worms should i offer per day? normally just put say 5ish crickets in and if the gecko appears to still be hunting offer more.

7.Is it ok to leave his light on all day and night(its a blue one)? yeah it should be a problem, lights are more for the owners then the animals.
8.What is a good temperature for him? Air temps for Leopard geckos don't really mean anything honestly. You will need to have a digi thermometer with a probe to get the ground temps of the hot spot. you would like to keep and maintain that at about 92-95 degrees

9.How often will he shed? once every few weeks. It's really just depending on the growth rate of the gecko.

10.Is there anything you think is important that i left out and should know? Make sure to keep fresh water in the tank at all times, take any feeders out of the tank that the gecko hasn't eaten as it will cause stress to the animal, educate yourself on different types of substrate (stuff on the bottom of the tank) and then choose what you think will be best.

Yes sand is bad papertowels are best and are cheap. You should have it very dry in the cage 50% sounds a bit much huimidity. Insted use a huimid hide the he can go in it to help shed. I hope this helped and welcome to the forum!!

My only suggestion is get him another hide and some stuff to play around on (toilet paper tubes work great for young geckos). Also you can use leftover greens, fruits, and veggies to supplement your cricket gutload, they seem to like fig stems and strawberry tops.

Also 6: feeding once a day is enough, don't leave him alone with crickets for more than 30 minutes, if he hasn't eaten them by them he's just not that hungry.

And lest I forget, adorable leo! :)

hello and welcome! Im pretty new to this myself but heres a few things that may help. Whatever your keeping your crickets in should have a some sort of water source. Some ppl say that putting a peice of potato or apple in will provide food AND water but to be sure,I put the fruits and veggies, plus a gutload cricket "drink" for water and extra vitamins.Putting a water dish in with your crickets will probably cause you to lose some to drowning. You can also buy little moisture "pillows" for water and use a gutload cricket food. Make sure the calcium powder you buy is WITHOUT vitamin D3. I guess they can overdose on D3 so you dont want to be serving it to them at every feeding. They do need some though and I think most ppl give that once or twice a month. It would also be good to place a small (like a milk jug top) container of calcium powder in the tank so they can have that as they need it.
Try keeping the water away from the heat lamp to keep down the humidity (try to keep it between 25-35).

Thats about all I can offer and if anyone sees something Im wrong about please correct!Im going by what Ive seen around here and opinions vary. Good luck!!
