Hi everyone! I have posted already but have yet to formally introduce myself. My name is Danielle and I'm from central Connecticut. I am a new mommy to two leopard geckos that I got last Wednesday (just over a week ago). I am pretty sure one is albino due to its lack of dark coloring (yellow and lavender with green eyes) and the other is an average gecko with yellow and lavender stripes and gray spots.

I have them in a 20L with all of the necessities and they are doing ok. The one I call Edward (although they are too young to tell the gender) is having a really bad shed. I think that because he began shedding almost immediately after I got him, he didn't get a chance to get used to my setup and where to find the humid hide, so he began getting itchy and rubbing against the rocks and other objects in the tank and rubbed the skin on his neck too hard and made a raw spot. I took him to the vet today and they gave him Baytril-Silvadene to apply daily to keep the area from getting infected. The good news is that since I bathed him the past 2 days in a shallow, warm bath, I think it helped his skin and he has begun to shed normally (with the vet's help). I am thankful to know that he's just shedding and there's not something really wrong with him!

Anyway, before I continue on an unnecessary rant, I have always been a huge fan of lizards, so I decided they were the perfect pet for me! The two I chose were cuddling up in a cave when I went to get them, which is why I chose them. They are so friendly to eachother so I don't think I will ever need to separate them!

--Pictures will come once "Edward" stops shedding!
