A few days ago I was given a boa by a family that no longer wanted it. I'm not sure exactly what it is and they didn't know anything at all about it. It's not bad looking for a BCI and is pretty friendly. They said they were feeding it 4-5 live rats a week!?! I'm guessing they meant pups or very small ones. I offered it a f/t jumbo rat which it readily accepted. I guess they did a decent job keeping it considering they really didn't know anything at all about snakes. It was a little dehydrated and wheezy when I brought it home but overall is in pretty good health. It shed that first night and a few days in a nice warm enclosure seems to be doing wonders.
