Well, I got her yesterday. She is 4 1/2 years old and I am told a het tremper tangerine albino - he bred her, he should know. I am not saavy on this genetics stuff, so I don't know or care for that matter. I haven't named her as yet. She will be off the sand as soon as I can clean out the tank. I will isolate her from my other female gecko (Kobe) and then put them both in one tank. I am told that since this new leo is the biggest, she will be in charge. Kobe, if you remember, is 2 years old and I have found out that she is reduced pattern high yellow. Well, I'll post her pix here again.

OK, well the new female gecko still doesn't have a name and is still on the sand. I have to tell you that it is quite cute when she digs and digs in the sand to make her spot. She is very jumpy and runs away when I try to pick her up. When I get her, if I put her on my chest she ultimately will calm down and listen to me speak, but then she wants to get away again. I took a stool sample on her and she, like Kobe did when I got her, has oxyurids (pinworms) so she has had her first deworming. I put the two girls together in a box to see how they would get along. The younger one, Kobe, was very interested in the new female, however the new female did the tail rattle a few times although never making eye contact with Kobe or going after her. All this new female wanted was out of the box. I'm enjoying both but still missing my calm, senior "Gex".

They are both very nice.. but you mentioned a tail rattle? Honestly, I didn't think that females did that.. I mean, I have seen a female wiggle her tail when chasing food, I've seen a female do a tail wagging as a defensive/aggressive warning; but have never seen a female make a tail rattle. Maybe they do it too, but it is characterisitc of a male.. it's what they do when they want or are about to mate. Are you sure that the new one is indeed female?
