So I haven't listened to all of the songs yet, but you guys (if you're interested in this sorta thing) gotta check out Nightmare Revisited (CD). It's all of the songs from Nightmare Before Christmas, but they are sung/played by actual bands. For instance, KoRn sings "Kidnap the Santy Claws," Marilyn Manson sings "This is Halloween," "What's This?" by Flyleaf, and so on and so forth. Other bands include Danny Elfman, The All America Rejects, Plain White T's, Shiny Toy Guns, and others.. not that I have heard of any of those bands, but the songs by Danny Elfman are freakin' awesome :main_thumbsup:

Pretty good album from what I have listened to so far, and it's right in time for the season ;)

I must agree, I really love that one as well :main_yes: I also really like Korn's version of Kidnap Santy Claws.. I'm still listening to it but I also really like "Sally's Song" by Amy Lee and "What's This?" by Flyleaf... The song by The All American Rejects isn't too bad either.

Manson's & Jon's versions are classic. Can't say i rly loved Flyleaf's, just something not quite right about it. She needed to pick up the pace singing the verses. I like the band though, pretty decent for a mainstream nu-metal band with a female lead singer. Still no Otep though :)

I love the original songs, one of my favorite movies of all time too. That, Sweeney Todd & Southpark the Movie are the only musicals to date that i have ever liked.

Flyleaf actually did wayyyyyyyyy better then fiona apple mkay? lol. Anyways yeah I've bought just about everything that has to do with nightmare before christmas. I'm younger then some of you obviously, that movie defined me at my young age. As did other great movies by Tim Burton. And Marilyn Mansons version has been around for awhile, they just threw it back on the new cd because of how great it sounded. I hate marilyn manson, but remaking that song.. He seriously put the spirit into the song.

By the way Fallen lol. Danny Elfman is the original singer of all of the Jack Skellington songs. Chris Sarandon is the voice acter.

Flyleaf's version is fine but it's not what the song is supposed to be at all. "What's This?" is an uptempo song, not a downer like flyleaf turned it into, they completely missed the point of the song entirely. What they should have done is gotten Serj from System Of A Down to do it, now that would have been entertaining.
