How'd you do it??!! Please tell me ALL your secrets! I have all but 2 of mine off crickets, but the last 2 I just gave up on. Even when I have extra crix, I never even give the converted ones a treat, figured its like giving a recovering alcoholic a drink;) lol.

i started by offering more worms and less crickets. i spread out their feedings to every 4 days to make sure they were good and hungry, and when i was down to just one cricket and all worms, i introduced the lats. it's taken several months of doing this, but when i fed last i just put in worms and they all destroyed them. now i've upped their feedings to every other day and so far so good.

Crickets are not bad for a while. But for some reason, my five year old leopard gecko (Tico) has all of a sudden stopped eating crickets. Tico seemed well for five years with a diet of fresh crickets lightly dusted with reptilian calcium dust.

I started to try and feed him mealworms. He will eat maybe three and go in his magnetic cave. Maybe I'm worrying too much but after five years of observing his behaviour I'm a bit unsettled as to why his eating pattern has completely stopped?

I would appreciate any advice to help remedy this problem.

Thanks ~

Well Merlin absolutely loves his crickets now, didn't at first. So that's what I give him. The crickets get Fluker's food for crickets and water gels, and sometimes some pieces of carrots. He eats both crickets and mealworms. I know that crickets can be major escape artists, and they're a big pain in the butt when they do escape. Though I figure if they get out of my room, there's a couple of cats that would just LOVE to chase them, lol. The older crickets are the ones that are annoying, but the small ones, not an issue unless they escape :)
