I am pretty sure that my gecko has reabsorbed her 2 eggs, she is thinner.. her belly was very wide and the eggs were very low before (a little over 1 week ago) she is still eating, and in shed right now. My question is after a female reabsorbs her clutch.. is her egg laying over?? Or is there a chance she will still lay a clutch or two?? She had only laid one clutch before (1st year breeder) with one egg being fertile and one was dried out so I could not tell. I am not going to be breeding her again I just would like to know what I can expect...

Other people will be able to shed more light on this than I can, but one of our first-year breeders laid one infertile clutch and has reabsorbed the rest since. There have been times when I thought she might lay something, but she hasn't.. at this point, I don't expect any eggs from her until next season.

Its awesome knowing people don't breed just to breed. Most of my females are done laying now but I am just going to let them fatten up untill next year. Since I have limited space right now I broke my breeding into a couple breeding groupings at a time. My next breeding groups will be paired in July.

She was my first gecko and she was bought as a pet.. (she's 5 now) this breeding thing is just so interesting. This is my first year getting into it.. its weird sometimes I am so excited or worried about something with them that I can hardly sleep at night. I love all of them even the ones that run when they see me! I think its funny sometimes they are just like me.. SO GRUMPY.. :main_yes:
