Unless half of it was shed, it looks like half of whatever she ate was not fully digested. The light colored portion. Otherwise looks ok to me.

not sure if she shed...i doubt it i got her 2 days ago so it would of passed by now and chances are she didnt shed right before the expo show...her warm hide has temperature gradient of like 8 degrees but the warmest part of the cave stays 90-95 always...but she picks the coolest side...so i think im going to reposition the cave so its 90+ everywhere so she digests properly

Some items are harder than others to digest. If she stays in the cool side at all times it might be a sign that the hot side is too hot. Same thing happened to my leo. Undigested food. I lowered the temp on the hot side in one hide and immediately he started spending more time on the hot side and never had a problem after that. I have one hide that is 90, one hide that is 95. He will never use the one that is 95. So it seems each leo is different and prefers certain temps. Hey I just remembered I told you this before, lol You see, she is staying on the cool side:p

lol i guess so there so differe, this one is very scared and shy, my jungle had no problem settling in. the jungle has a poop place

yep, My little man is also shy. They are more difficult in the sense that they will sacrifice hiding over temps. So make sure especially that one has hides in different temp areas. They will rather feel secure than be seen and will not thermoregulate properly.

My thought is that if she's making stools then her health is somewhat normal. When she stops making stools, IMHO, is the time to worry.

We as humans make weird stools at times though it's for a variety of reasons.

Making any type of stool means, at the very least, an indicator that health is not that bad.

When stools do not appear at all; then it may be time for concern.

I'm sure everything will work out. (pun not intended)

PS~\

After further observation from the photos you you gave, it appears that the stool shows undigested food. This means an intestinal malfunction. My thought... possibly it's a viral infection that will clear within 72 hours. Though I could be completely wrong.

It's just what my instincts point to.

If she were mine, I'd make sure she had fresh water but not introduce food until her next stool so a monitor can become effective. Once this is achieved, then the next step is the right one. Otherwise...it's almost like throwing dice.

I wish my gecko, as smart as he is, could post and say more! If he could, he'd agree because he's the one that taught me best since my former gecko, thin lizzy. Thin lizzy was better than any human I've ever met. If only because she never lied. She was always straightforward and determined with a countanence greater than a bald eagle...which I've handled through trying to save them.

Reptiles are my favourite animal but I adore all animals. Even humans!

I'm just speculating but due to the high fat content in wax worms the stool could possibly have a clear fatty look to it, compared to a more nutritious food source. Again I'm just speculating but it's and idea.

Great point, satyr666.

Even geckos sometimes get intestinal infections. The overly white stuff is mucous. A sure indicator that improper nutrients enabled enzymes to interfere with resistant bacteria. It's a natural process, however, any living animal goes through this at certain times.

Totally natural.
