i have had my leopard gecko for about 3 weeks and he is not eating his mealies...before that i would feed him crickets and he would leave them alone too...now i just hand fed him a cricket and he took 3 of them with no problem...i think this guy is pampered...any ideas...i would like to keep him on mealies cause they are cheap and easier then crickets

1st: Do you know for sure it is a male? If not it could be a female and she could be ovulating
2nd: Husbandry wise is everything correct?
3rd: sometimes it can take up to a month for a new gecko to settle in and feed well
he/she may be eating randomly as he/she wants and has just not settled in enough to regulate a feeding schedule
4th How old is it?
And generally if he/she had been fed with solely crickets before its not going to be easy to transfer to mealies
Answer me these Q's and I may be able to solve your problem

Being not even 4 months old it would be difficult to tell 100% if it is male or female. Do you know the temps on the cool and warm sides? And what is the current weight of the Leo? You may want to try a few more feeders, wax worms, calci worms or roaches to see if it a picky eater. A different feeder may trigger a feeding response also. Good luck.
