not moving

[leopard gecko 12]

my leopard gecko spends a long time laying down in one places even at night in the day he goes to a hide and lays down and doesn't move. he is only a few months old.
please help

It sounds like normal behavior to me. However, knowing more about him and his care would help make that determination.
