hey guys, i just wanted to tell y'all that i don't think that i'll be getting a gecko, mom is a little(ok, a lot)hesitant to have a lizard in her house, so i've decided that getting a gecko right now wouldn't what's best for me, mom or the gecko. so thanks everybody for your help, and maybe i'll be back in a few years when i have my own house. maybe. so thanks again, and good bye!

Hey it never hurts to stick around and learn all you can. Maybe you will even be able to convert mom over sooner then you think. It's funny but in our house it's our 2 teenage sons huffing when we buy a new reptile, LOL.

If you educate your mom maybe she wont hesitate so much to say yes? If you show her how great these animals are she might come to like them too!

Awwww you gotta introduce them to her. My wife at first didnt want to touch them, but now she has them on her shoulder and plays with them! She totally loves them now!

Good things come to those who wait...yeah, that's tough to say, nevermind hear. I hope that eventually you get your gecko. They are such an amazing addition to a house!

a)nope, there's no way i could get one, and herps(mom calls them reptiles and makes it sound like a disease. she's a soft and furry girl with the only exception being fish. SMALL fish that is.)mom's list of animals she really doesn't want in her house. it wouldn't be fair to any of us(gecko included).
b)i haven't got a lot of extra time right now, but i'll pop on every once in a while when i get time if that's cool with everybody. and once again, thanks for all the help guys!
oh, and just so y'all know, it was my choice that a gecko wouldn't work, i just didn't/don't think that i need a pet that my mother(and sole care-giver)is so worried about. she really, really tried to....i don't know what i wanna say....like? i guess that's the word, she tried really hard to like them because i do, but i didn't want to push ether of us to far.

You are amazingly mature for your years and very respectful of your mother and the animals needs
