What the heck is he (or she, not sure yet but for now I shall just say he) doing? One of my geckos keeps climbing to the top of a hide and jumping at the glass. He also stares up at the top of the tank constantly. It's like he's trying to escape lol. It's weird, cause this is my gecko that was always so shy and never wanted to be near me and now I'll put my hand in and he practically runs to it. And when I put him back in he just pulls this little stunt like he wants back out.

Do any of your geckos do this?

Well right now hes in a 55 gal long tank with one other gecko. And they both get along fine so I know the other one isn't bothering him.

my leo likes to roam around his cage and almost every time he's walking about he'll bump his nose into the glass and lick it, sometimes he'll even look up at the top and try to climb up the glass (fails miserably, it's kinda cute).

Right now my leo still a juvie so he's not ready to be picked up, but sometimes just out of curiosity he'll climb all the way up my arm until I shoo him back into his cage.

My guess is that your leo is just curious about the surroundings

You can and should hold juvies....lol I've held mine ever since he was a baby and he's just coming out of his baby stage and very tame.
