How old is he? Some will calm down with age, some never really will. With consistent handling he should turn out to be pretty docile. Not much else you can do besides handle him.

I haven't had one bite me, yet. I have two Blizzards that I think, would, if I startled them. So my suggestion is to give him a week without handling. Keep putting your hand in his tank for him to see that you are not a threat. Just lay it in there, and see if he starts moving around it. Then, after that, I would move slow and attempt to pick him up again. Good luck!!! You have to gain their trust.

i have a tug snow that was like that, then one day she had a hard time with a shed and I gave her a nice warm soak and helped her with the stuck shed, now she climbs onto my hand. Be patient and he will get use to you :)

Things like this seem to help with bonding. My tremper girl had trouble with shedding and she was pretty skittish. She doesn't seem to mind me much at all now and started to co-operate very well when I needed to hold her still.

My first gecko was the nastiest little thing. NOBODY dared put their hand in his tank. I tried so many times to tame him (I even put on gloves because I was so scared). Then out of nowhere he calmed down after a year. He's two now and being held still isn't his most favourite thing but he hasn't bitten me in months.
