I have a gecko that has half a regenerated tail and since I had her she has gained so much weight. She is younger than my other geckos and now she weighs the most. We noticed she started ovulating late and put her with a male but I never saw an egg through her stomach. She looks very fat though. The 14th she weighed 70g and the 18th she weighed 74g. She is well over due if she is actually gravid and I haven't noticed any straining or abnormal behavior. She looks plump around the belly but she always has since she was fed well, even before breeding. She looks much fatter than my other, full length girls, that are around 70ish g. So my questions are:
Do geckos with half a tail get fatter around the body?
What is considered obese for a gecko with half a tail?
Is it possible she is still having problems with a leg if I can't see one, could the fat be blocking it?
