I got this tank from a garage sale a while back, still deciding what on earth to do with it. It has the footprint of a 10g tank, but its a lot taller, making it have a capacity of 15g. Maybe some kind of small arboreal gecko? What do you think?

That sounds about right. As for a small arboreal gecko a few day geckos would be cool. Some species such as:
Phelsuma klemmeri
Phelsuma laticauda laticauda
To name a few.
But there are a lot more small day gecko species that a pair or trio that could live in that sized aquarium great.
Also a pair or trio of Lygodactylus williamsi would also be great if you want some small colorful geckos.
All of these would look cool in a naturalistic terrarium with live plants and they are small enough that they won't ruin the enclosure.
