First I've never fed my leos roaches and I think I wanna try to see if they will feed on them or not. After reading some of the previous threads I realize that if I do start to do this I probably should breed them myself because of the cost issues, but to just first start out I think I wanna pick some up at the pet store down the road to try this out. So my questions are what kind of roaches do I ask for?? What size? and Finally how much do they usually cost? OKay one more question..how many should I feed to my adult leo?

First does your pet shop even sell roaches? Because I know the ones around my neighborhood just sell mealworms, crickets and waxworms.

I've personally used Dubias and my gecko seemed to really like them and they're kind of cute in a weird way even though I've heard Turks are good too. The "size" would depend on your leo. I bought my trial of roaches for like $10 but that included shipping from Cali and I'm in NYC. Just give your leo how many he/she should eat. Drop one in one at a time and see how many she'll eat, even though my averaged out at like 4-5 medium sized nymphs.

I recommend woodies if you can get them. Woodies are very clean insects and are not known to carry disease organisms. In nature they are usually found under dead wood or tree bark and grow to the size of a large cricket.

very clean/nutritional.
