I adopted two geckos that had been together. I thought they were both too small to breed, so I separated them. There are eggs in the wet hide right now (not there yesterday) and I am getting ready to leave for work. I don't have vermiculite, I was going to put off breeding for a while. I know I might not be able to save these, but just in case...
what can I do in the next hour to help and if I get vermiculite on the way home from work 10 hours from now, is that going to be any help at all??

btw, these are my granddaughters and she would appreciate help too, thanks!

This may be too late, but you could keep them in the moist hide for the day if the temp is between 79 and 90. Just put a rock or tape over the opening so they gecko's cant bother them until you can deal with it.

thanks, I got them off of the plastic and onto the moss (without turning) and gently put them into a closed container inside the tank. I will get things set up properly tonight after work.

if they're good they should candle* a light, straw yellow with some pinkish starting to develop. with sharp eyes you'll be able to see blood vessels, etc.

*candling is holding a strong flashlight near the egg so it illuminates the interior.
