My female is on her 5th clutch this season, and hopefully her last for the season. All of her clutches have been laid soft and kind of smushy. They were all not good eggs for which ever reason. This clutch we have one really hard egg and one smushy egg. Should I have hopes that the harder egg is viable or are good eggs usually soft? The hard egg is also alot whiter on the outside compared to the smushy egg which is kind of offwhite.

Do you have a Maglight? or a similar flashlight? Because the best way to know would be to candle it and check for everything you'd expect to see: Pinkish/redish glow, not yellow (which would be infertile) - lots of veins if it's far enough along, ect. There should be some resources (found via google) that list everything as well so you can check everything and compare to the list.

I left a calcium dish in her tank all the time, also dusted her crickets with calcium and repti-vite. Yes this is her first year breeding, and both eggs are in separate containers.
Also, this being my first season I have used a led flashlight to look in all of the eggs but I'm not really sure what in looking for. I do know the soft egg looks like all my others, whereas the white egg appears yellow but seems to have the bulls eye. She just laid them today so i'm not sure how many veins I would see this soon.
