I've been keeping reptiles for a few years now, starting with leopard geckos but eventually turning to crested geckos and chahoua geckos. I did breed my leopard gecko pair this season though, and I've been surprised at the outcome.

I'd love to hear any comments on my little leo family. Years of working with crested geckos has made me rusty on the morphs and genetics of leopard geckos. I spent quite a bit of time reading up on the morphs I wanted to work with, but I keep getting reminded that there is always more to learn! I thought I was pretty solid with my pair, but these hatchlings have thrown me off! They do all appear to be enigmas to my eyes.

The last three all hatched with pink eyes, the oldest two of which have darkened and lost the pink/red as they've gotten older. The youngest still appears to have the reddish/ pink color. I'm sure it'll be a lot easier when they're bigger, but I'd love to hear opinions.

My female Shlomo, my first gecko and sold to me as a normal which I'm starting to wonder about now.

Your male looks like he's what you're calling him. Your normal might be normal on the outside (although super pretty and bright!) but those babies make me think she's definitely het for a few things behind the scenes. I'm not sure I can name the morphs, some of those babies look like they have eclipse eyes and the white ones look like they're possibly snow APTORS to my inexperienced eyes :)

Thanks for the input! The white hatchlings seem close in comparison to pictures of super snow albino enigmas I've seen. I'd have a better idea if they were older and if I had more hatchlings from the pair. Unfortunately of the 8 eggs my female has laid so far this year, only these four hatched. The first clutch didn't make it past the first week so were probably duds, and the other two eggs were lost after severe temperature fluctuations in our house. Luckily these four are healthy, eating and pooping, and very active!

From what I can see it seems like my female might be het for tremper and possibly a mack snow.
