Opinions on my website

My site has been up for a few weeks now, but I never really asked anyone's opinion on anything.

it's www.eyecandygeckos.com

Overall I am happy with it, but it's not my best work. My goal was to achieve a different style than the elongated vertical format used on most gecko breeders' websites. I used an iframe, which I dont like very much in firefox because my CSS styles dont work.

It's very monochromatic and I am not sure I like that. The geckos in the banner need to be replaced because they are not my images. I am just waiting for a day off where it doesn't rain so I can get outside to take some decent pictures.

Also, I cant get rid of the pixelatedness of the hexagonal pattern in the background.

Any constructive criticism would be appreciated.

I like it. It is clean, easy to read and it looks good. And.. it works in Firefox, Safari and IE. So.. You did a good job. :)

The only thing that kills me is that your pictures don't open into a larger version. If you still have the originals.. think about utilizing lightbox/slimbox/thickbox.. or some other fun option with larger versions of the picture. Your pictures look great.. the colors seem accurate.. So.. show them off.

Keep up the good work.

i actually downloaded lightbox a couple of days ago. I just haven't gotten around to setting it up yet. It's my next project.

Tomorrow I plan to build and actual light box, take some better pictures and update the pics on the site.

I also have intentions to restyle the news and the layout of the available and breeder pages.

Thanks for the kind words!

I just noticed that one the Breeders page, you are missing the JavaScript coding in the heading. So all the photos open in a new window. Otherwise, Its a really clean layout.

Very nicely done. I love the leaf-tails! The Super Snows are growing up quite nicely as well.
