I am not new to the reptile world, just took a few years off. I have always liked the orange and white amel fatties, just never got one. Now i see the prices on them has dropped alot and im thinking about getting a few more lizards.
I really like the orange and white amels. Who is working with these and would be a good source to get one.

They're a dime a dozen to be honest. But if you like them and want one, that's all that matters. Better for you that they are so cheap! Check out Geckos etc. Steve has a ton of Amels on his site. I personally don't work with them, but I know JMG does and possibly a few others on here as well. Click on some of the links above or try contacting people like Alex from Imperial Geckos or David from Shenandoah Reptiles. They might be able to help you out as well.

Thanks for the shout out, Chris. I do have to disagree with you, some of my best sellers are Amels, and I can get anywhere between $60-$300 for Amels. I just sold one today for $300! Line bred Amels are some of the nicest looking Fatties out there.

I will be getting a handful of different amel lines from David (Shenandoah Reptiles) along with other morphs in the next couple months. He has been great to work with and has shared a wealth of knowledge on fat tails. I think you would be wise to pick up an amel or a pair, this species has a ton of future potential. Chris from Wild West Reptiles has a bunch of great geckos as well. I'm getting a nice group of fat tails from Chris as soon as I finish a couple more racks. He has been more than kind and has a lot of information about fat tail husbandry and breeding.

Good luck on your search!

Thanks Lee! Amels are really great in any collection especially if you're breeding. Amels are some of my best sellers, because they're cheap enough just about anyone can afford them! I would suggest anyone going into Fat-Tails, buy a nice group of Amels!

I love the amels as well and have a nice breeding group of them producing some nice babies this year.
