Orange ring on BB tail?

I took some new pics of my 2 Tremper Blazing Blizz juvies last night while cleaning/feeding etc.
I am a bit puzzled by an obvious orange ring at the base of the tail on the male much like some patty's and PA's have
In fact-I had to go back and check the tank-and sure enough-it was the male BB that these pics are of
Anyone else have a Blizz with orange on its tail base or anywhere else?

Since a BB has albino influence, it's not unusual for them to have some orange at the base of their tails.

It's a blend of carrottail. Very small, just a start

I guess that I haven't been paying attention to the Blizz posts-since it sounds to me from your replies that this is not uncommon -I am sure that this was prob posted some where else on here




I just have not ever had a Blizz with any orange on it before

This is a male I had who also had a orange tail.
yup carrotail.
I crossed some bb's with carrotail albinos, they are not prone to developing carrotails as well as normal albinos and patternless.

It's common to see patternless albinos with a small pice of carrottail and Banana blizzards are a Patty+blizz cross. maybe youre is a banana blizzard?

I was sold her and the male as A Bell Blazing Blizzard pair (long story) -which I assumed meant that they were Bell Blazing Blizzards-They are not -both are Trempers and they were produced by the Bells

The Bells were not the people that I bought them from

So I don't know what she is
But I do really like them both
