Ouch My Eye!

A few days ago, I was helping my husband work on his speaker system in his truck. He was screwing a speaker box with a drill and the screw flew up into my eye. I covered my eye and ran to the bathroom. It hurt pretty bad and would not stop watering. It felt like something was in there but I could not find anything.
I finally was able to see and went along with my day with my eye constantly watering and feeling like something was in there, but it was nothing I couldn't handle. But when I woke up the next morning I was blind. I could not open either eye. Unless it was completely dark. I went through that day with my head in my pillow and having my sister help me get to the bathroom with out killing myself. The next day it was a little better. I got a patch for my eye and as long as I did not look at any light in that eye I was ok. Today I'm a lot better. I still feel like something is in my eye and my vision is a little blurry but I can watch t.v. and sit in front of the computer with out it hurting. I only have to wear the patch when I go out in the bright sunlight.

I would hate to be blind. Hopefully that will be the last time something like that happens again!

Wow I bet that was scarry. I'm glad you can see again. I don't know what I'd do if that happened to me.

ya if you wake up in the morning and cant see what-so-ever. it might be smart to see a doctor...or an E.R....

Brandy, you should have gone to the Doctor. Having a wood splinter in your eye is bad enough, but if it's metal it can wander. And after a couple days, they won't be able to find it. My suggestion would be that you schedule an appointment A.S.A.P., but it's only a suggestion.

Thanks guys. I know I should have seen a doctor but I have medical bills up the wazoo and no insurance I was really close to going anyway but then I started feeling better. I still might go if my eye sight does not get better in my right eye.
