Our 3 Leos!

So I thought I would show our three Leos off now that I have some decent pictures. Please forgive some of the high gloss coming off of them, I am working with a very cheap digital camera right now... very cheap. I'll have to get some good ones with my 35mm Rebel later.

So this is Marik, which is my girlfriends Gecko.

This is Taji, my female gecko who lives with Marik.

And this is our rescue, Lin. She's almost 7 and a half inches long.

Also Marik has just started to shed, and Taji's colors are looking faded on her back so we're guessing she'll be getting ready to shed soon as well.

Cool geckos! The second one is kinda thin though. It could be from being housed with the other one. I would reccommend keeping them in seperate tanks especially if Marik is a male and Taji is a female...

Thats a picture from when we first got her, she was a little thinner then, but is looking healthy now ^_^ sorry for not mentioning that. So I guess the picture is about 3 weeks old. Not to mention also Taji is quite a little pig compaired to Marik come feeding time XD

Yeah, I would keep them apart though because Taji may be getting all the food...they have ranking systems. And if one's a female and the other is a male, they can breed prematurely and you don't want that. It's very bad for the female's body.

We do make sure that they both get an equal amount of food, so we're not too worried. We've heard both sides, that it's ok to keep them together, and that we should keep them apart, but right now we are just doing what works best for us, and that is keeping them together. They do really well with one another and seem to enjoy each others company. But thank you for the advice and if we do see any changes in one or the other's growth/health we will separate them. ^_^

Nice geckos:main_thumbsup: Taji has real nice colors:main_yes:

Thank you! Seems Taji is also getting ready to shed, in the past two ours her colors have changed from the normal brightness to a now dull powder white over the top. So who knows, in the morning we may have two newly shed leos waiting for us!

Thanks!

I woke up this morning and went to feed our geckos...

And discovered Taji shedding her skin! It's her first shedding with us.

She made quick work with it too, and just had a little on her toes by the time we had to leave for work. We'll make sure she gets the rest of it off.
