well, i thought i would give an update on our gecko quest. i posted once before that we had two cute little leos that we got from a chain pet store and they never gained weight and eventually died.

after a short bit of time and some conversation with other pet stores, we thought we would give it a go again. well, to all the pet store haters, she is wonderful. we have had our baby for almost three months now and she it great. she eats a lot and has a nice big fat tail. she has shed quite a few times and her color gets brighter.

i will post pix as soon as i have some. i was a bit sceptical about taking pix with my bad experience before. i just didn't want to allow myself to get attached and take full ownership, only to lose her. well, she is here to stay and i'm totally lovin her.
(and no, i have no idea whether she is a boy or girl)

Congrats! Not all pet store reptiles are bad. I got both mine from a chain store and they are great!

I agree, Not all chain pet stores are bad, but thats the thing, you only really hear about the bad things that the chain stores do.
Given there are a few good reviews but its the bad things people tend to remember about their trips there.
Either way good luck with your new leo and get some pictures up soon.
